On My Reading List

I have a stack of books on my nightstand ready to peruse right now–mostly romance novels, of course. When I’m reading about romance, I’m able to glean some inspiration. It puts me “in the mood” to write, so to speak. At the moment, I’m reading Julie Anne Long’s The Runaway Duke, and I’m about to finish her Holt sisters trilogy. She’s a relatively new author (who I actually discovered via MySpace), and I’ve found that I really enjoy her work. Books on my nightstand waiting to be read include in no particular order:

-Rasputin’s Daughter by Robert Alexander

-The Secret to Seduction by Julie Anne Long

-Fool for Love by Eloisa James

-Duchess in Love by Eloisa James

-To Love a Thief by Julie Anne Long

-Never Lie to a Lady by Liz Carlyle

-Never Deceive a Duke by Liz Carlyle

I get most of my reading material from book stores (no kidding!) and a couple of book-swapping websites: PaperbackSwap and BookMooch. With the swap sites, all you pay is shipping when someone requests one of your listed books. It saves a ton of money, and I always have something to read.

In addition to books, I have a stack of National Geographic Traveler, Budget Travel, and The Writer magazines to flip through. As you can see, I am rarely without something to read. Will, on the other hand…but that’s for another time.
