Novel Addictions

With a little music from Journey and .38 Special (yes, I’m a fan of ’80s power ballads), I’ve rediscovered some writing inspiration this evening (thus the 2:00 AM posting). I’m rather excited since I’m beginning to feel my way through a particular scene in my novel, A Stolen Lady. I think I’ve mentioned this in previous posts, but I am working on a historical romance novel set in 1800s England. My first chapter came along rather nicely and at a good pace after several rewrites. The second chapter is proving just as difficult, but I think I’ve found the route tonight. I’m feeling good about the novel as a whole and am hoping to finish it before the end of the year. It’s a big goal for someone not working as a full-time writer, but I’m confident nonetheless.
